Characteristics

films vary and
it
is
therefore advisable
to
run
tests
on
a
number
of
different types, select
the
film
that
best suits
your
particular needs, and stay with it.
Of
prime importance
is
of
course
the
application. As a general rule, the slower
the
emulsion is,
the
less graininess, resulting in
maximum
size enlargement possibi-
lities. However, this film requires a longer exposure
than
film with a
fast emulsion.
Where
poor
lighting conditions prevail, a high speed film
is
advisable, while in very bright light,
the
slower film will give
better
results.
