The sauna stove can be installed in a niche, but a sufficient air supply to the stove must be ensured.
The sauna stove must be installed in an upright position. The stove frame feet are provided with
holes for installation of the adjustment bolts included (some models come with bolts pre-installed).
When using the bottom plinth, the plinth adjustment feet are used for ensuring the upright position
of the stove. The stove’s own adjustable feet may also be applied together with the bottom plinth.
MODELS 11208K AND 11308K, HEATED FROM ANOTHER ROOM
An additional installation guide will be delivered with the heater.
1.5.3STOVE STONES, INSTALLATION
Before installation of the stones, the sauna stove must be pre-heated. The stones for the sauna
stove should be approx. 5-10 cm in diameter, preferably natural stones suitable for sauna use (for
example, peridotite). Of ceramic sauna stove stones, only the Kerkes stones are suitable. The
stones must be washed before installation.
The bottommost stones need to be large enough not to sink through the stone holder. The stones
are laid so that the contact surfaces between the stone holder’s heated surfaces and the stones
are as large as possible and that the edges of the stones do not exert pressure on the stone
holder’s surfaces. Do not cram small stones into gaps between the larger ones; this way, the
stones and the sauna will heat up at the same time and the service life of the sauna stove will be
extended. Fill the stone holder with stones until a gently sloping pile forms over the holder. The
holes in the top moulding may not be obstructed.
2 USE
The sauna stove is intended for heating up a sauna of the size indicated in the stove
specifications. Use for any other purpose is prohibited. Only firewood may be used for heating of
the sauna stove. Use of peat, coal or other fuel of high calorific value is prohibited; the same goes
for plastic. We recommend using mixed firewood.
2.1 FUEL
This heater is heated with wood. Both softwood and hardwood are suitable as fuel for this
heater. The firewood must be dry, its humidity content less than 20 %, this makes the burning
process cleaner, and more efficient.
Good firewood is normal chopped wood in the following sizes:
- in the heaters 11108/11108O/11108V:
diameter approx. 5 cm, length approx. 25 cm and weight approx. 0.35 kg.
- In the heaters 11208/11208K/11208O/11208V/11308/11308K/11308O/11308V:
diameter approx. 5 cm, length approx. 33 cm and weight approx. 0.5 kg
Please note! You must not use the following types of fuel for this heater:
- liquid fuels
- fuels with high calorific value, e.g. chipboard, plastic, coal, briquette, pellets
