4.2.6 Creating a new Task
In order for the POUs “MAIN” and "Batch_Count" to be assembled and executed in the PLC,
they must be specified as valid tasks in the
Task Pool .

Then click on the Task button on the Toolbar. Alternatively, ‘Right Click’ the task pool
icon in the Project navigation window and select the
New Task option from the menu.

Enter the name of the new task ("Control1") in the prompt window.

Click
OK and the Project Navigation window now shows the newly created task called
“Control1”:

Click once to highlight the
TASK_Pool icon in the Project
Navigation area.
