Operation Method for Replacing Projects
To convert FX3U/FX3UC projects to FX5U/FX5UC projects, perform operations in GX Works3.
The SFC program is compatible with the following versions.
*1 To convert FX3U/FX3UC projects created with the SFC program into FX5U/FX5UC projects, it is necessary to install GX Works2 whose
version is 1.585K or later.
Precautions
• To read projects of GX Works2 using GX Works3, convert beforehand using GX Works2, and then read the projects. Even
for projects converted using GX Works2, conversion may not be performed according to the state of the project. If there is
an error in the program, operation will be canceled.
• To read projects of GX Works2 using GX Works3, delete the security (user Management, data security setting) of GX
Works2 beforehand and then read the projects. If the security is set to the GX Works2 project, read out will be canceled.
• To read projects of GX Works2 using GX Works3, administrator rights are required.
Operating procedure
1. Start up GX Works3.
2. Open the project of FX3U/FX3UC.
Select [Project]  [Open Other Format File]  [GX Works2 Format]  [Open Project]  Project (***.gxw).
