Suitable wiring and tightening torque are described below.
■Differences and precautions regarding installing the FX3U and FX5UJ
The pitch of the holes for installation in a control panel and the width differ between the FX3U and FX5UJ. When making a
direct installation in a control panel, installation holes must be added. Also, because the terminal block shapes differ, one
terminal block cannot be replaced with the other. ( Page 54 External dimension drawing)
■Differences and precautions regarding the drive power supply of the output section of the
FX3U-16M and FX5UJ
• Output section power supply voltage consolidation
When replacing the FX3U-16M with the FX5UJ, the power supplies must be consolidated if a separate power supply has
been installed with the common terminal of the FX3U-16M.
• Maximum output load current
When the FX3U-16M is replaced with the FX5UJ, the maximum load current of the output section changes.
If separate power supplies have been installed with each common terminal, consolidate the power supplies.
