Precautions Regarding the Hardware
Comparison of FX3U and FX5U and Precautions for Replacement
The following list shows precautions of the hardware. Check details in the manuals of each model when replacing.
■Difference and precautions regarding the main hardware of FX3U and FX5U
■External dimension drawing
There are some differences in the external dimensions of the FX3U and the FX5U. Be careful when replacing the modules.

•OFF: 2.5 s or less
X10 to X17:
•ON: 30 s or less
•OFF: 50 s or less
X20 or later:
•ON: 50 s or less
• OFF: 150 s or less
Noises that were not detected by FX3U may
possibly be captured as an input. Take external
measures against noise, or set an appropriate
input response time parameter.
Input signal current X0 to X5: 6 mA
X6 and X7: 7 mA
X10 or later: 5 mA
X0 to X17: 5.3 mA
X20 or later: 4 mA
The input signal current has been lowered, so it
is necessary to check the specification of the
external devices when replacing.
