5 SAFETY APPLICATION CONFIGURATION EXAMPLES
5.1 System Configured by a Safety CPU
Example of program using safety FBs
Safety FBs to be used
For details on the safety FBs, refer to the following.

Name Function Description
M+SF_GMON_R Guard monitoring This FB monitors the relevant safety guard. There are two independent input parameters for two switches at
the safety guard coupled with a time difference (i_dMonitoringTime) for closing the guard.
M+SF_EDM_R External device monitor This FB controls a safety output and monitors controlled actuators, e.g. subsequent contactors.
(0) to (5) This is a circuit to release the interlock when a communication or I/O error occurs on the safety remote I/O station.
(8) This is a circuit to convert the reset input bit of M+SF_EDM_R.
(16) This is a circuit to monitor the safety switch status. The safety FB is enabled by activating the reset switch after the system is powered on or
after the safety switch is activated and the safety output is turned off. The safety FB is disabled by activating the stop switch.
(47) This is a circuit to monitor the contact welding in the safety relay. The safety output of the safety FB is turned on again by activating the start
switch after the enable status is confirmed. Activate the reset switch to clear an error occurred in the safety FB.
