1.3 IP Packet Transfer Function
Example of communications using the IP packet transfer function
When the request source and destination devices have the same network address
The following system configuration is used to explain an example of communications.
Setting in the CPU module 1 and master station (station No.0)
1. Set the IP address of the CPU module 1 as follows.
[Navigation window] [Parameter] Targ e t mod u le [Basic Settings] [Own Node Settings] [IP Address]
2. Change the following setting to "Use" in the CPU module 1.
[Navigation window] [Parameter] Targ e t mod u le [Application Settings] [IP Packet Transfer Setting]
3. Set the IP address of the master station (station No.0) as follows.
[Navigation window] [Parameter] [Module Information] Ta rge t modu l e [Application Settings] [IP Address]
4. Write the set parameters to the CPU module 1. Then reset the CPU module 1 or power off and on the system.
Setting in the CPU module 2 and local station (station No.2)
1. Set the IP address of the CPU module 2 as follows.
[Navigation window] [Parameter] Targ e t mod u le [Basic Settings] [Own Node Settings] [IP Address]
2. Change the following setting to "Use" in the CPU module 2.
[Navigation window] [Parameter] Targ e t mod u le [Application Settings] [IP Packet Transfer Setting]
3. The local station (station No.2) does not require an IP address.
The network address set in the master station (station No.0) is automatically assigned.
4. Write the set parameters to the CPU module 2. Then reset the CPU module 2 or power off and on the system.
