4 CONNECTING THE SERVO AMPLIFIER AND ROTARY SERVO MOTOR
4.1 Precautions for wiring
4.1 Precautions for wiring
To ground the servo motor, connect the grounding lead wire to the servo amplifier, then connect the wire from the servo
amplifier to the ground via the protective earth (PE) terminal of the cabinet. Do not connect the wire directly to the protective
earth (PE) terminal of the cabinet.
• Do not install a power capacitor, surge killer, or radio noise filter (optional FR-BIF) on the servo amplifier output side.
• To avoid a malfunction, connect the wires to the correct phase terminals (U/V/W) of the servo amplifier and the rotary servo
motor.
• Do not use the 24 V DC interface power supply for the electromagnetic brake. To prevent malfunction, use the power
supply designed exclusively for the electromagnetic brake.
• For encoder cable selection, refer to the following.
Page 58 WIRING OPTION
• Refer to chapters 6 and 7 for the selection of a surge absorber for the electromagnetic brake.
