4.3.4 Relation between remote operation and RUN/STOP status
This section explains the relation between the remote operations and the RUN/STOP/
MODE switch setting of the C Controller module.
(1) Relation between remote operation and RUN/STOP status of C
Controller module
The following table indicates the operation status that varies by combination of the
remote operation and the C Controller module's RUN/STOP status.
* 1 In <<System settings>> of C Controller setting utility, "Remote reset" should be set to "Allow".
* 2 Reset is available when the C Controller module with the RUN/STOP/MODE switch set to RUN
has been placed in the STOP status by remote STOP.
* 3 Includes the case where the C Controller module is stopped due to an error.
(2) Remote operations from the same development environment (personal
computer) or user program
When more than one remote operation are attempted from the same development
environment (personal computer) or the same user program, the status resulted from
the last one is effective.
(3) Remote operations from multiple development environments (personal
computers) or user programs
For the C Controller module to which remote operation has already been executed,
another remote operation can be executed from a different development environment
(personal computer) or user program.
(4) Remote operation from the C Controller module to CPU No.1
(programmable controller CPU)
While remote operation is performed from another peripheral (GX Developer, etc.) to
CPU No.1, remote operation cannot be executed from the C Controller module.
Execute remote RUN from the peripheral executing the remote operation to cancel
the operation.
For example, while another peripheral is executing remote PAUSE, even if a remote
operation is executed from the C Controller module, the PAUSE status of CPU No.1
will not change.
In this case, executing remote RUN from the peripheral will cancel the remote
PAUSE, enabling a remote operation from the C Controller module.
