12.6 Resetting CPU Modules
The entire multiple CPU system can be reset by resetting CPU No.1.
CPU modules other than CPU No.1, I/O modules, and intelligent function modules on the
system will be all reset when CPU No.1 is reset.
When a stop error has occurred on any of the CPU modules on the multiple CPU system,
reset CPU No.1 or restart the multiple CPU system (power on off on).
Resetting a CPU module that is in a stop error does not restore the system if the module is
other than CPU No.1.
(Example) C Controller module
1. In the multiple CPU system, CPU modules other than CPU No.1 cannot be
reset individually.
If any CPU module other than CPU No.1 is reset during operation of the
multiple CPU system, a multi CPU error (error code: 7000, MULTI CPU
DOWN) occurs in the other CPUs and the entire multiple CPU system stops.
Note that an error other than the multi CPU error (error code: 7000, MULTI
CPU DOWN) may stop the other CPU modules depending on timing of
resetting a CPU module other than CPU No.1.
2. If any CPU module other than CPU No.1 is reset, a multi CPU error (error
code: 7000, MULTI CPU DOWN) occurs regardless of the Operation mode
setting (All CPUs stopped due to an error in CPU n/Continue) in the
<<Multiple CPU settings>> tab of C Controller setting utility. ( Page 12-
22, Section 12.7)

Resetting is not allowed in the multiple CPU system.
Doing so will result in "MULTI CPU DOWN" in all CPUs
in the multiple CPU system.
The overall multiple CPU system can be reset.
