PARAMETERS ADDED FOR MULTIPLE CPU
SYSTEMS
If a multiple CPU setting parameter is changed, change the corresponding setting for each
of all CPUs in the multiple CPU system accordingly.
After that, reset CPU No.1 or restart the multiple CPU system (power it on, off, and on
again).
C Controller setting utility has a feature that allows you to utilize existing multiple CPU
parameters in the C Controller setting utility or GX Developer. ( Page 15-14, Section
15.2.4)
For GX Works2, a project can be used by saving it in GX Developer format.
(3) Checking multiple CPU parameters
When the multiple CPU system is powered on or CPU No.1 is reset, whether the
same parameters are set for all CPUs on the items marked and in the Same
setting column of Table 14.1 is checked (consistency check) as shown in Table 14.2.
(a) When settings of all CPUs are identical
The multiple CPU system starts.
(b) When settings of all CPUs are not identical
The multiple CPU system behaves as shown in Table 14.2.
Check the multiple CPU parameters, and make sure that they are identical for all
CPUs.
To start the multiple CPU system, reset CPU No.1 or restart the multiple CPU
system (power it on, off, and on again).
For information on resetting CPU No.1, refer to the following.

Table 14.2 Consistency check
Item CPU No.1 Other than CPU No.1
When multiple CPU system is powered on
No consistency check for multiple CPU
parameters is performed.
• The multiple CPU parameters are
compared with those of CPU No.1.
• If any mismatch is found, a parameter
error (error code: 3012, PARAMETER
ERROR) is detected in the CPU.
