CHAPTER 15 STARTING A MULTIPLE CPU SYSTEM
This chapter explains the standard startup procedure of a multiple CPU system.
15.1 Flowchart for Starting a Multiple CPU System
For the parameter setting and programming of programmable controller CPUs and Motion
CPUs, refer to the manuals for respective modules.
* 1 Reference section and manual are for the C Controller module.
For the programmable controller CPU, refer to the following.
QCPU User's Manual (Multiple CPU System)
Q12DCCPU-V
Q06CCPU-V-B
Q12DCCPU-V
Q06CCPU-V-B
Pre-operation procedure
Determine the function sharing in the
multiple CPU system.
Determine the applications and assignment
of the auto refresh area of the CPU shared
memory.
Select modules to be used.
Start up the C Controller module.
Setting of CPU No.1
Configure the system settings
required to use the CPU module.
Configure the multiple CPU settings
to construct a multiple CPU system.
Assign I/O of the main and extension
base units.
Configure the switch and detailed
settings for each module.
Determine controls and functions
to be performed by respective CPUs.
For auto refresh of the CPU shared memory,
reserve the refresh points consecutively.
Select modules that have functions executable in the
multiple CPU system.
