passenger seat which is fitted with
an active airbag (SRS). Follow all

When parked, the handbrake should be fully
applied with the vehicle left in first or reverse
gear for vehicles equipped with manual
transmission or P (Park) for vehicles with
automatic transmission.

Key / remote control operated central double-locking. Auto door locking and re-locking. Use the central locking switch
to lock all the doors from the inside. Models feature keyless entry (just keep the key in your pocket or bag, vehicle auto
unlocks when you are beside the vehicle).
Models are fitted with an anti-theft alarm. Passive arming of electronic engine immobiliser after removal of the key from the
starter switch / key slot. Visible VIN.
Centrally locked. Use the key or remote control to unlock / open. Use tailgate handle to open the bottom hinged tailgate.
The flat load area is fitted with load lashing rings to help secure cargo.
Electric internal adjustment for front and rear windows operated via a control pad on the driver’s door.
Electric front and rear operated via control buttons on the driver’s door.
Child proof door locks fitted to the rear doors, depress the central locking button to activate it. Located on the edge of the
rear doors, slide the lever to activate it. Check from inside that the doors are securely locked.
Ensure gear selector is in N or P and handbrake is on. Insert key into key slot and use a normal starting routine. Some
models may feature keyless starting - just keep the key in your bag or pocket, and press the engine start/stop button to start
or stop the engine. Select desired gear. Release handbrake and brake pedal and gently press the accelerator to move the
vehicle. Vehicle features auto start/stop technology whereby the engine auto shuts off when vehicle is stationary, gears are
in neutral and foot pedals are not depressed - the engine auto restarts when a foot pedal is depressed.
Centrally locked. Located under flap on rear nearside. Lightly press the edge of the flap to open it and twist off the cap
anticlockwise. Press flap closed.
Pull bonnet release lever located to the lower right of the instrument panel. Unhook catch under bonnet.
Vehicle is not normally supplied with a spare wheel or tyre repair kit. For any assistance in the event of having a
punctured tyre, or should the vehicle not be supplied with a spare wheel and tyre or a tyre repair kit, please call
the Europcar Tyre Helpline 0800 0280 999. Move the vehicle to firm / level ground. Turn the engine off, select first gear
(manual) or P (automatic). Apply the handbrake or parking brake. Loosen the wheel nuts (do not remove them). Only use
the specific reinforced jack points on the underside of the vehicle. Crank the jack to lift the vehicle. Undo wheel nuts and
change the wheel. Lower the vehicle. Tighten the wheel nuts.
To change gears press the button on the shift lever and move the lever forwards or backwards. Select N for neutral, P
when leaving the vehicle, R for reversing (the vehicle must be at a complete standstill before this gear can be selected). For
normal driving select D where the transmission will use all available forward gears automatically. Release pressure on the
accelerator to return to normal accelerator use. Use the M option to manually select gears using the steering wheel paddle
shift levers. Whenever the vehicle is at a standstill apply the handbrake. Use the rotary 4WD control selector adjacent to the
handbrake to choose various 4WD driving modes for different environments.
