DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Using scan tool MB991958, diagnose the CAN bus
lines.
Use scan tool to diagnose the CAN bus lines.
Q: Is the check result normal?
YES : Go to Step 2.
NO : Repair the CAN bus lines (Refer to GROUP 54C
CAN Bus Diagnostics Table
P.54C-11). On
completion, go to Step 2.
STEP 2. DTC recheck after resetting CAN bus lines.
Recheck if DTC C1902 is set.
(1) Turn the ignition switch (engine starting switch) from the
"LOCK" (OFF) to "ON" position.
(2) Check if the DTC is set.
(3) Turn the ignition switch (engine starting switch) to the
"LOCK" (OFF) position.
Q: Is the DTC set?
YES : Go to Step 3.
NO : The procedure is complete.
STEP 3. Check whether the DTC is set.
Recheck if the DTC is set.
(1) Turn the ignition switch (engine starting switch) from the
"LOCK" (OFF) to "ON" position.
(2) Check if the DTC are set.
Q: Are DTC C1911, C1921, C1931 and C1941 set?
YES : Press the multi-information display switch to toggle
tire ID sets. Then perform TPMS TRANSMITTER
CHECK (Toggling the tire ID set will trigger the reset
function automatically. Then the TPMS warning light
will start flashing slowly. Furthermore, DTCs C1911,
C1921, C1931 and C1941 will be set as "stored").
Then go to Step 4
.
NO : Go to Step 7.
STEP 4. Check the tire IDs for the TPMS transmitters.
Could all the tire IDs for the TPMS transmitters be confirmed?
Q: Is the check result normal?
YES : Adjust the tire inflation pressure to the recommended
value. Then road test for a while to complete the reset
function. Then go to Step 6

NO : Go to Step 5.
