SLIP CLUTCH ADJUSTMENTS & MAINTENANCE
The clutch will not operate properly, and damage to the
internal components may occur if the following procedure is
not followed .
Disengage the PTO, turn off the tractor engine and remove

Ensure that all driveline, tractor and implement shielding
are functional and in place before operation. Damaged or
missing parts must be replaced.
&KHFNWKHFRQGLWLRQRIWKHIULFWLRQOLQLQJZKHQLQVWDOOLQJWKH
clutch or after periods of storage.
- If the edges of the clutch plates are exposed the clutch
is type FV – measure and record the spring height. If the
clutch plates are covered by the metal band the clutch is
type FT.

not allow the clutch slip for more than 2 or 3 seconds at a time to prevent damage to the linings.
If the clutch does not slip after the third attempt, disassemble the clutch, clean up all contact
surfaces and replace any damaged components.
