To transfer a project again, you must switch to
configuration mode as follows:
왘 Press and hold the Enter key on the MI4 for about
three seconds.
왘 Use the cursor control key “-->” to select the
menu item “CFG” and confirm by pressing Enter.
The MI4 switches to configuration mode and is now
ready to transfer the project.
왘 Click on the Download icon to start transmission.
Download
The project is now transferred to the MI4. Following
a successful transfer the MI4 display will show the
following entries.
If the “DL” LED is blinking it indicates that there is not
yet a connection with the PLC .

For the MI4 to be able to display actual and setpoint
values the PLC must be connected and a test
program started on the PLC.
왘 Start Sucosoft S40
왘 Open a new project and switch to the Topology
Configurator
왘 Declare the MI4-111-KE1 as primary slave
왘 Set the Receive Data parameters to correspond
with the data under Communication Buffer Size,
Output, in the MI4 Configurator.
