Possible serious injury and equipment dam-
age from loosening of equipment fasteners.
Fasteners on snow and ice removal equipment may
loosen due to vibration and repetitive movements.
Retighten all equipment mounting fasteners after the
first 8 hours of use, then check tightness weekly after
that. Use a torque wrench when specific torque val-
ues are given in the installation manual.
If fasteners need to be replaced, be certain to use the
correct size, grade and type to prevent failure.
