To signify this mode, the LCD display backdrop will illuminate red and ‘S+’ will
be shown on the driver’s information panel:
Activating Sport+
To engage Sport+ Mode, the vehicle must rst be in Sport Mode. Then, press
the S+ button for at least one second on the tunnel next to the Gear Lever.
In Sport+ Mode, it is possible to manually shift up or down a gear in the same
ways as Sport Mode. Please refer to ‘Activating Sport Mode’ for more information.
To disengage Sport+ Mode, move the selector lever back towards the right,
to return to Comfort Mode.
Activating Sport Mode
When in the drive position (D) the selector lever may be moved (left) into the
Sport position. This position is recommended for a performance driving style
and the gears will be changed automatically, in a manner that enhances the
sporting characteristics of the car.
In Sport Mode, there are two methods for manually shifting up or down a
gear: Using the Selector Lever or the Shift Paddles.
In Sport Mode, pushing the selector gear lever forward or backward will
activate manual gear shift up or down. The gear change is now manually
controlled by the driver, pushing the gear lever forward will change down the
gears and pulling the gear lever back will change up the gears. When in Sport
Mode, the gear selected appears briey on the Driver Information panel.
WARNING ‘Sport’ mode changes the shift characteristics of the vehicle
and should be used with care.
Sport+ Mode
Sport+ Mode is a selectable driving mode that further enhances the sporting
characteristics of the car, beyond ‘Sport’ mode. Throttle response will be
further sharpened, proving quicker than in ‘Sport’ mode. The gears will be
changed automatically, with gearshift points that will be more aggressive,
holding engine RPM higher and for longer. Gearshifts under braking will also
be more aggressive, adapting based on brake pressure. In vehicles featuring
an active sports exhaust, selecting ‘Sport+’ mode will introduce a much more
characterful sound to the exhaust than Sports mode.
WARNING ‘Sport+’ mode is not recommended for use on public roads
and is better suited for track use in a safe and controlled environment.
