FUEL FILLING
Your vehicle must be fuelled with unleaded Petrol. Your vehicle will run
satisfactorily on Petrol of a minimum octane rating of 95 RON. Using fuel with a
lower octane rating may cause knocking (pinking) that in severe cases can cause
damage to the engine and it’s components.
Your vehicle must be fuelled
with either of the following fuel types:
CAUTION Using the incorrect fuel in the vehicle may cause damage
to the vehicle’s engine and emission control components. Damage caused
to the vehicle as a result of the use of improper fuel is not covered by
the manufacturer’s warranty.
The fuel ller cap is located on the rear of the vehicle. Pull up the hinged tab
then rotate it anticlockwise by a quarter turn. Pull out the cap. A security strap
prevents the cap from falling.
WARNING When removing the ller cap do so slowly. Failure to do this
may result in fuel spray causing serious injury and a re hazard.
CAUTION Care must be taken not to damage the paint work of the
vehicle. Lay the ller cap down carefully against the outer ller ring.
CAUTION Do not attempt to over ll the tank after the auto-shut o
has stopped the pump.
After lling with fuel, reverse the procedure to seal the fuel tank.
WARNING Petrol and its fumes are highly ammable. When lling the
vehicle with fuel ensure the engine is turned o, switch o mobile phones and
ensure there are no naked ames or other potential ignition sources present.
CAUTION Failure to properly seal the fuel ller cap may result in the
vehicles emission system not operating correctly causing the engine check
light to come on.
Locate lift tab. Lift up tab. Rotate anti-clockwise. Pull out. Do not hold tab
against rotational stop.
