Electric Fans
Tw o electric fans are positioned behind the radiator, these are operated by a
temperature switch in the engine and controlled by the ECU. The fan speed
will automatically vary to maintain the correct engine temperature. As the
temperature rises in trac, the fans will activate as required. If there is any
doubt about the operation of the fan system, consult a Morgan Dealer at
the earliest opportunity.
WARNING Do not allow tools, hands or clothing to come into contact
with the fans. Fans may operate without warning, even with the ignition
switched o!
Windshield Washer Bottle
The windshield washer bottle ller is located under the left hand bonnet. Pull
o the ller cap, top up with windshield cleaner then ret the ller cap. In
cold weather it is recommended to use an antifreeze and windshield cleaner,
to prevent freezing and aid cleaning.
NOTICE Do not use engine coolant antifreeze, only specially prepared
solutions for washer systems. Follow manufacturer’s instructions carefully.
Brakes
DANGER The importance of brake maintenance cannot be over-stressed.
The owner is legally required to keep the braking system to a satisfactory
performance level. Brake pads and linings must be renewed in axle sets.
Failure to do so will seriously aect the operation of the system.
DANGER Brake uid is hazardous and will cause illness or death if swallowed.
DANGER Using incorrect brake components or excessively worn
components will aect your braking system and may result in a crash
causing serious injury or death.
DANGER Do not clean brake discs with cleaners containing silicone or
chlorine. Cleaners containing silicone or chlorine may impair brake
function, which could result in serious injury or death.
WARNING Any drop in reservoir uid level or operation standards must
be reported immediately to a dealer.
WARNING Never make modications to the braking system.
Trained personnel must carry out changes. It is recommended that a
qualied engineer or Morgan service agent should carry out all repairs and
brake services.
WARNING Care must be taken when handling brake uid, as it may cause
skin problems. Follow manufacturers instructions carefully.
WARNING Use only new brake uid.
WARNING Never leave uid exposed to the air, as it will absorb moisture.
WARNING Brake uid will damage paint and other nished surfaces.
WARNING Use only the recommended brake uid or equivalents.
WARNING This car is tted with servo-assisted brakes. DO NOT move
the car without the engine running, as the eort required will be greatly
increased. The car will stop if the pedal is pressed hard enough.
