STEP 1: DRYING YOUR HAIR
1 After you have shampooed and conditioned your hair,
comb through gently using a wide toothcomb.
Hair stretches when wet, up to
1
/3 of its length, and
by being too rough at this stage, you could damage
your hair
1 Before you apply a heat protection spray, use your
hairdryer to ‘waft’ the excess moisture from your hair.
If you apply a styling product on very wet hair, you may
dilute the product, making it less effective. Apply the
heat protection spray evenly from the roots of your hair
to the ends
1 Using sectioning clips take a small section of hair from
the nape of the neck, and secure the rest of your hair
away from it. Using a paddle brush, dry the hair,
pointing the hairdryer down the hair from roots to ends
to help avoid any ‘frizzy’ bits
1 Once this section is dry, use the cool button for a
couple of seconds to ‘set’ the hair
1 Take the next section of hair, dry and cool. Do this for
the rest of your hair. This may take a little longer then
you are used to at first, but the results you achieve will
be worth it, and your style will last longer
