Operating emergency LED light
The Motomaster® Eliminator Power Pack is equipped with an emergency LED light on the
handle of the unit. It is a simple ON-OFF slide switch. Turn it on and off by sliding the switch
forward and backward.
Note: The light is designed only to tight in an emergency situation; it is not the regular LED
light.
Jumpstarting a vehicle's engine
Using the supplied boost cables, you can use the Motomaster® Eliminator Power Pack to
boost a vehicle or boat engine (all 4 cyl. and most 6 cyl.) that has a 12 V starting battery.
~WARNING: Please always put the manual switch in the "OFF" position. Otherwise, it
cannot protect the unit in reverse connection.
~WARNING: Fire Hazard
Never allow the boosting cable's red and black clamps to touch each other or another
common metal conductor. This could cause damage to the unit and/or create a
sparking/explosion hazard. After use, always switch OFF the Boosting Power Switch and
store boosting clamps in the appropriate holder on each side of the Motomaster® Eliminator
Power Pack.
~WARNING: Fire Hazard
The connection of the boosting cable clamps to the vehicle's battery terminals must be
positive to positive (red clamp to battery
"+")
and negative to negative (black clamp to
battery "-"). A reverse polarity connection (positive to negative) may cause damage to the
unit and/or create a sparking/explosion hazard.
NOTE: Closely follow these instructions for boosting your vehicle as they may be different
from the instructions supplied with other boosting products or boosting cables.
To jump start a vehicle:
(1). Turn off the vehicle or boat ignition and all accessories.
(2). Engage the park or emergency brake. Place the transmission in park for an automatic
transmission vehicle or in neutral for a manual transmission vehicle.
(3). If boosting a boat engine, purge the engine compartment and vent all fumes before
boosting.
