The
front
panel
of the
I/
0
distribution
board
supplies
the
following functions:

Four
serial
ports
All four originate
on
the
single
board
computer. The
system
console
port
(port one) is labeled
CONSOLE
and
utilizes a
RJ45
connector.
The
second
serial
port
is labeled SP2/TEL.
It
utilizes a
RJ45
connector. This
serial
port
converts
to
a Telco
port
when
the
optional
modem
is installed.
The
third
serial
port
is labeled SP3.
The
fourth
serial
port
is labeled SP4/UPS.
It
may
be
programmed
to
interface
to
an
un-interruptible
power
source (UPS).

One
RJ45
for SCSI Device
Expansion
Module
cooling sensors, DC failure
and
power
enable interconnect cable labeled CONTROL.

One
RJ45
twisted
pair
Ethernet
port
labeled 10 BASE T.
Note
that
the
10 Base T transceiver is
not
part
of
the
single
board
computer's
I/0.
The
I/0
distribution
board
converts the single
board
computer's
AUI
port
to 10 Base T
with
optional
circuitry. A circuit
on
the
I/0
distribution
board
allows
proper
operation
of either
the
AUI
port
or
the 10 Base T
port
when
only
one
interface is connected.

One

This
port
is
not
functional
when
it
has
been
converted to 10 Base

parallel
port
signals

board

the
