MVME187
Jumper
Settings
The MVME187 has
been
factory tested
and
is
shipped
with
the factory
jumper
settings described
in
the following sections. The MVME187 operates
with
its
required
and
factory-installed Debug Monitor, MVME187Bug (187Bug),
with
these factory
jumper
settings. Settings
can
be
made
for:
General
purpose
readable register (Jl)
Each MVME187
may
be configured
with
readable jumpers. These jumpers
can
be
read
as a register (at $FFF40088)
in
the VMEchip2 LCSR. The bit values are
read
as a one
when
the
jumper
is off,
and
as a zero
when
the jumper is on.
System controller select
(J2)
The MVME187
can
be
system controller. The system controller function is
enabled/
disabled
by
jumpers
on
header
J2.
When
the MVME187 is system
controller, the
SCON LED is
turned
on.
Serial
port
4 clock configuration select
(J6
and
J7)
Serial
port
4
can
be
configured to use clock signals
provided
by
the RTXC4
and
TRXC4 signal lines.
Headers
J6
and
J7
on
the MVME187 configure serial
port
4 to drive or receive RTXC4
and
TRXC4, respectively. Factory configuration is
with
port
4 set to receive
both
signals.
