a custom
molded
SCSI
ill
connector or a
separate
SCSI cable. There is a custom
molded
daisy chain AC
power
jumper
and
RJ45
in
and
out
connectors for
power
enable lines
and
environmental failure
data
lines.
Control
Cable
A short,
pin
1 to
pin
1,
non-crossover, cable
with
shield
and
shielded
RJ-45
connectors are
used
to daisy chain the enclosure control
board
to the SCSI
Device Expansion
Module
in
the
same
enclosure. This is the
same
type
of cable
used
for serial
port
cables. A longer version of the cable is
used
to interconnect
separate SCSI enclosure.
SCSI Device
Expansion
Module
The SCSI Device Expansion
Module
contains four half-height
peripheral
bays.
Two
bays
accommodate 3.5-inch
hard
disk drives
and
two
bays
accommodate
either 3.5-inch
hard
disk
drives
or
half-height removable
media
devices. Use
the figure
below
for
determining
placement.
