A device module is normally removed when a new VME expansion module is
installed.
When a new SCSI device expansion module is installed, it is usually
added to the top of the stack. Use the following steps if you need to remove
and add a device module.
Action
An ESD strap must be secured to your wrist and to ground throughout the
procedure.
A
void touching areas of integrated circuitry; static
discharge can damage these circuits.
Before
doing this installation, it is recommended
that you: (1) perform an operating system
shutdown; (2) tum the keylock switch to the
"standby" power position (left-most); and (3)
disconnect the AC power cord from the Base.
Remove the
crown by lifting up the front of the crown.
