Using your cordless handset
9. Using the phone
9.1 Calls
9.1.1 Make a call
1. Press C.
2. Dial the number.
9.1.2 Preparatory dialing
1. Dial the number first. If you make a mistake, press the right O key to delete
the last digit.
2. Press C to dial.
9.1.3 Quickdial call
1. If you have stored the quickdial numbers, press and hold on the keypad
in standby to dial the saved phone number automatically. To set up a
quickdial number, see page 42.
9.1.4 Call from the Phonebook, Redial or Calls list
1. You can make a call from the Phonebook (see page 41), redial (see
page 39) or Calls list (see page 51).
9.1.5 End a call
1. Press E, or place the handset back on the charger.
Note
If Auto hang up is switched o, you will need to press E to end a call.
9.1.6 Receive a call
When you receive an external call, the phone rings and flashes on the display.
1. Press C to answer the call.
Note
If Auto answer is switched on, you can simply lift the cordless handset from the
charger to answer a call.
9.2 Adjust the earpiece / hands-free volume
During a call, press U or D to increase or decrease the volume. There are 5
levels to choose from.
9.3 Mute
You can mute your handset so that you can talk to someone nearby without
your caller hearing.
1. During a call, press the right O key. The display shows
Mute on
and your
caller cannot hear you.
2. Press the right O key again to resume your call.
