32 Using the phone
If more than two handsets are registered to the base, the relevant numbers are
displayed, e.g.
Handset 2

d to select the handset you want to call and press m.
8.5.2 Receive an internal call
When you receive an internal call, the display shows
Handset
and the handset number that
is calling you.
1. Press t to answer the call.
Note
If during an internal call you receive and an incoming call, you will hear the alert tone on
the handset.
Press n and then t to answer the call.
8.5.3 Transfer a call
You can transfer an external call to the base or another handset registered to the base.
During an external call:
1. Press
I on the handset.
If you have only one cordless handset the base is called automatically,
Handset
1
is
displayed for the corded base.
If you have two handsets registered to the base the second handset is called
automatically.
If more than two handsets are registered to the base, the relevant numbers are
displayed, e.g.
Handset 2
.
2. Scroll
d to select the handset you want to call and press m.
3. When the internal call is answered, press n to complete the transfer.
NOTE
Your external call resumes automatically after 60 seconds if there is no answer.
8.5.4 3-way conference call
You can hold a 3-way conference call between 2 internal callers and 1 external caller.
During a call with an external caller:
1. Press
I to put the external caller on hold.
If you have only one cordless handset the base is called automatically,
Handset 1
is
displayed on the corded base.
If more than two handsets are registered to the base, the relevant numbers are
displayed, e.g.
Handset 2
.
2. Scroll
d to select the handset you want to call and press m.
3. When the handset answers, press
m to connect all three callers and begin the
conference call.
4. Press n to end the call.
