NOTE
If no detect number is set the prex number will be added to all pre-dialled numbers.
11.4 Recall time
This setting is useful to access certain network and PABX / switchboard services.
The default C42 recall time is suitable for your country and network operator. It is unlikely
that you should need to change this setting unless advised to do so.

m, scroll d to Services and press m.
2. Scroll
d to Recall time and press m.
3. Scroll
u or d to Short , Medium or Long and press m to conrm.
4. Press n to return to standby.
11.5 Dial mode
Your C42 is set to tone dialling. You should only need to change this if connected to an
older type of switchboard / PABX which requires pulse dialling.

m, scroll d to Services and press m.
2. Scroll
d to Dial mode and press m.
3. Scroll
u or d to Tone or Pulse and press m to conrm.
4. Press n to return to standby.
11.6 Auto clock
If you have subscribed to Caller ID Service, the date and time will be set on all your
handsets whenever a call is received. This feature can be set to On or O.

d to Auto clock and press m.

On or O and press m to conrm.
11.7 Register a handset
You can register up to 4 handsets to your C42 base to extend your phone system without
having to install extension sockets for each new phone.
If you have purchased a C42 multiple pack, all additional handsets come pre-registered to
the base.
If you have purchased an additional handset separately, you must register it to your C42
base before it can be used.
NOTE
Handset batteries must be fully charged before you start to register. Hold your handset
close to the base during the registration process. Handsets that were supplied with your
C42 base are already pre-registered.
