onyourradio(programmedbyyourdealer),youwillheara
shortalerttonethemomentthetargetradio(theradiothatis
receivingyourcall)releasesthePTTbutton,indicatingthe
channelisfreeforyoutorespond.
Youwillalsohearacontinuoustalkprohibittone,ifyourcallis
interrupted,indicatingthatyoushouldreleasethePTTbutton,
forexamplewhentheradioreceivesanEmergencyCall.
IPSiteConnect
Thisfeatureallowsyourradiotoextendconventional
communicationbeyondthereachofasinglesite,byconnecting
todifferentavailablesiteswhichareconnectedviaanInternet
Protocol(IP)network.
Whentheradiomovesoutofrangefromonesiteandinto
therangeofanother,itconnectstothenewsite'srepeaterto
sendorreceivecalls/datatransmissions.Dependingonyour
settings,thisisdoneautomaticallyormanually.
Iftheradioissettodothisautomatically,itscansthroughall
availablesiteswhenthesignalfromthecurrentsiteisweakor
whentheradioisunabletodetectanysignalfromthecurrent
site.ItthenlocksontotherepeaterwiththestrongestReceived
SignalStrengthIndicator(RSSI)value.
Inamanualsitesearch,theradiosearchesforthenextsitein
theroamlistthatiscurrentlyinrange(butwhichmaynothave
thestrongestsignal)andlocksontoit.
Note:
EachchannelcanonlyhaveeitherScanor
Roamenabled,notbothatthesametime.
Channelswiththisfeatureenabledcanbeaddedtoaparticular
roamlist.Theradiosearchesthechannel(s)intheroamlist
duringtheautomaticroamoperationtolocatethebestsite.
Aroamlistsupportsamaximumof16channels(includingthe
SelectedChannel).
Note:Youcannotmanuallyaddordeleteanentry
totheroamlist.Checkwithyourdealeror
systemadministratorformoreinformation.

CapacityPlusisasingle-sitetrunkingcongurationofthe
MOTOTRBOradiosystem,whichusesapoolofchannelsto
supporthundredsofusersandupto254Groups.Thisfeature
allowsyourradiotoefcientlyutilizetheavailablenumberof
programmedchannelswhileinRepeaterMode.
