ofradios.Uponacknowledgementbyaradiowithinthegroup,
thegroupofradioscancommunicateoveraprogrammed
Emergencychannel.
IfyourradioissettoSilent,itwillnotdisplayanyaudioorvisual
indicatorsduringEmergencymode,orallowanyreceivedcalls
tosoundthroughtheradio’sspeaker,untilyoupressthePTT
buttontoinitiatethecall.
IfyourradioissettoSilentwithVoice,itwillnotdisplayany
audioorvisualindicatorsduringEmergencymode,butallow
incomingcallstosoundthroughtheradio’sspeaker.The
indicatorswillonlyappearonceyoupressthePTTbuttonto
initiate,orrespondto,thecall.
1PresstheprogrammedEmergencyOnbutton.
ThedisplayshowsTxAlarmandthedestinationalias.The
LEDlightsupsolidgreenandtheEmergencyiconappears
ontheHomescreendisplay.
WhenanEmergencyAlarmacknowledgmentisreceived,
theEmergencytonesoundsandtheLEDblinksgreen.The
displayshowsAlarmSent.
2Holdtheradiovertically1to2inches(2.5to5.0cm)from
yourmouth.
3PressPTTbuttontomakethecall.
TheLEDlightsupsolidgreenandtheGroupiconappears
onthedisplay.
4WaitfortheTalkPermitTonetonish(ifenabled)andspeak
clearlyintothemicrophone.
5ReleasethePTTbuttontolisten.
IftheChannelFreeIndicationfeatureisenabled,youheara
shortalerttonethemomentthetransmittingradioreleases
thePTTbutton,indicatingthechannelisfreeforyouto
respond.
6PressthePTTbuttontorespond.
7Onceyourcallends,pressEmergencyOffbuttontoexit
theEmergencymode.
TheradioreturnstotheHomescreen.
