Procedure:
Press the programmed VOX button to toggle the feature on or
off.
OR
Follow the procedure below.
1 g to access the menu.
2 b or c to Utilities and press g to select.
3 b or c to Radio Settings and press g to select.
4 b or c to VOX and press g to select.
5 b or c to On to enable VOX. The display shows 9
beside On.
OR
b or c to Off to disable VOX. The display shows 9
beside Off.
If the Talk Permit Tone feature is enabled (see Turning the
Talk Permit Tone On or Off on page 57), use a trigger word to
initiate the call. Wait for the Talk Permit Tone to finish before
speaking clearly into the microphone.
Voice Announcement
This feature enables the radio to audibly indicate the current
Zone or Channel the user has just assigned, or programmable
button press. This audio indicator can be customized per
customer requirements. This is typically useful when the user is
in a difficult condition to read the content shown on the display.
Use the following features to toggle Voice Announcement on or
off.
Procedure:
Press the programmed Voice Announcement button.
OR
Follow the procedure below.
1 g to access the menu.
2 b or c to Utilities and press g to select.
3 b or c to Voice Announcement.
4 b or c to On to enable Voice Announcement. The
display shows 9 beside On.
OR
b or c to Off to disable Voice Announcement. The
display shows 9 beside Off.
