BASIC RADIO CALLS
MUTING THE KEYPAD TONES (FOR
KEYPAD RADIOS ONLY)
The radio’s keypad tones, normally heard each time a
keypad key is pressed, can be turned off (muted) or on
(unmuted) at your discretion. To use the keypad mute
feature
Note: Pressing or the PTT switch exits this
menu without changing the mute selection.
1 Press / until
MUTE is displayed.
2 Press ; (the
softkey below
MUTE).
You will see the
current mute state
momentarily.

Then
ZONE
MUTE
CALL
TONES ON
TONES OFF
ON
OFF
3 Press the softkey
below the desired
mute state (on or off).
The radio returns to
the home display.
