This document describes the Mr. Christmas Alexa Compatible LED Christmas Tree, an indoor-use artificial Christmas tree with integrated LED lighting that can be controlled via Amazon Alexa voice commands or manually.
The Mr. Christmas Alexa Compatible LED Christmas Tree is designed to provide festive illumination with the convenience of smart home integration. Its primary function is to serve as a decorative Christmas tree with customizable LED lighting effects. Users can turn the tree ON or OFF, adjust brightness, change colors, and select various lighting modes using voice commands through an Alexa-enabled device or via a physical button on the control box. The tree offers a wide range of lighting options, including different colors and dynamic effects, to suit various preferences and occasions.
The assembly process begins with checking the contents of the box, which include tree sections, a metal tree stand with eyebolts, a control box with a power cord and adapter, an "Ornament" with a voice-activated command list, and spare bulbs. The tree stand is assembled by opening it to form an "X" shape and inserting eyebolts, leaving room for the bottom tree section. The tree sections are then inserted into the stand in the correct order, starting with the bottom section, and the eyebolts are fully tightened to secure the tree. After assembly, it is recommended to shake the tree to extend branches and perform some shaping for the best appearance. Pole caps shipped with the tree should be saved for storage to protect the power poles.
To achieve a full and natural look, users should start at the bottom row of branches and work their way up to the top. Individual branches should be spread out to the sides, up, and out, resembling a fan.
The power cord with the adapter is attached to the control box, and the adapter is then plugged into an AC power source.
To enable Alexa control, users need to download and open the "Amazon Alexa" application on their mobile device. From the settings menu, they select "Add Device," then "Christmas Tree," and follow the on-screen instructions. For setting up a second tree, users select "Second Christmas Tree." During device setup, users may be asked to scan a device barcode, which can be found on the back of the controller. Alexa will ask for clarification if a command does not target a specific tree when multiple trees are set up.
The tree offers up to 55 lighting functions accessible via Alexa voice commands.
The tree also features a push button on the control box for manual control, allowing users to cycle through all 55 lighting modes without Alexa. The modes include various steady colors, fade effects, flip effects, sparkle effects, twinkle effects, and trio effects, as well as a power off option and a demo mode. The demo mode plays all 54 lighting functions for 8 seconds each.
Alexa Routines allow for automation of the Christmas tree's functionality. Users can set custom commands (e.g., "Good Morning") to turn the tree on or off, or schedule specific times for the tree to operate (e.g., every day at 10 AM). To enable routines, users open the Alexa app, go to "Routines," select "Plus," choose "When this happens" to define the trigger, and then select "Add Action," "Smart Home," and "Christmas Tree" to configure the desired LED lighting mode.
Spare bulbs are included with the tree and can be found in a poly bag attached to the end of the light strand inside the tree. To replace a bulb (Figure 15):
If a bulb gets out of color sync with the light set color selected by an Alexa command, it can be corrected by switching out the individual bulb with a replacement bulb provided.
It is recommended to store the tree in a cool, dry location, protected from excessive exposure to heat or sunlight. The pole caps that are shipped with the trees should be saved and used for storage to protect the power poles.
