IX. TROUBLESHOOTING
Symptoms Possible reason Remedial actions
Piston does not move Damage to mechanical parts
No lubricant
Replace damaged parts (hydraulic
hose, actuator, pneumatic motor,
etc.)
Lubricate moving parts.
The piston does not retract
automatically, or it retracts
slowly
Too much oil in cylinder
Hydraulic system contaminated
Remove excess oil and make ensure
correct oil level is maintained and
quality oil is used
Dismantle and clean articulated
elements
The piston does not exert its
nominal force / stroke
Hydraulic oil is low
Air trapped in the system
Top up with good quality hydraulic
oil
To bleed the system open the
release valve slightly, remove the
venting safety device and pump
the level a few times. Re-insert the
venting safety device.
Table cannot be adjusted using
the toothed wheel or the
table does not move smoothly
in the guide
The lever is secured by the pin
The steel cable is not aligned
correctly
Rollers incorrectly mounted
Set the level holding pin in the
winch frame assembly to the middle
position.
Align the cable correctly. Replace
stretched cable.
Check roller mounting and adjust if
required.
