1. Releasethe bladecontrolhandletostoptheengine
andblade.
_/ WARNING: The blade continues
to rotate for a few seconds after
the engine is shut off.
2. Disconnectandgroundthesparkplugwireas
instructedin the separateenginemanualto prevent
accidentalstartingwhileequipmentis unattended.
WARNING: If you strike a foreign
object, stop the engine. Remove
wire from the spark plug, thor-
oughly inspectthe mower for any
damage, and repair the damage
before restarting and operating
the mower. Extensive vibration
of the mower during operation is
an indication of damage. The unit
should be promptly inspected
and repaired.
Operating Tips
1. Forbestresultsandeffectivemulching,do notcut wet
grass.
2. Newgrass,thickgrass,orwet grassmayrequirea
narrowercut.
3. Fora healthierlawn,nevercutoff morethan one-third
ofthetotallengthofthegrass.
4. Yourlawnshouldbecut inthe fall as longas there
isgrowth.
5. Adjustgroundspeedaccordingto conditionof lawn.
6. Ifthegrasshasbeenallowedto growin excessof 4
inches,mulchingis not recommended.Mowusing
thesidedischargetoreducethegrassheightto 3-1/4
inchesor lessbeforemulching.
