Remote Head (Joystick, Hex Shaft)
To disassemble the Remote Head:
1. Remove the two screws, indicated by the arrows in
Figure 10.7, from the grip assembly using a #2 Phil-
lips screwdriver.
2. Slide the grip assembly off of the metal lever.
3. Remove the final screw with the grip held in a hori-
zontal position. See Figure 10.8.
• A wedge on the trigger fits into a recess in the
guide.
• When the trigger is squeezed, the wedge forces
the guide to pull on the cable.
4. Remove the bolt from the pivot point using a 1/2”
wrench. See Figure 10.9.
5. Remove the hair pin clip from the Hex Shaft Cou-
pler.
6. Slide the Hex Shaft into the Remote Head until it
clears the joystick assembly.
7. Remove the Hex Shaft.
8. Remove the bow tie clip.
9. Remove the clevis pin that holds the Remote Head
to the Support Bracket. See Figure 10.9.
10. Remove the wing nut. Lift the Remote Head off of
the mast.
