Remote Pitch Control Head (Steel Chutes)
To remove/replace the Remote Pitch Control Head:
NOTE: The Remote Pitch Control Head Consists of
a Cable Guide, Cable Guide Bracket, and
the cables that run to the Chute Control
Assembly..
1. Remove the wing nut, washer and carriage bolt that
holds the left side of the chute deflector to the dis-
charge chute.
2. Remove the nut, indicated by the arrow in Figure
11.7 and the carriage bolt that holds the right side of
the chute deflector to the discharge chute using a 1/
2” wrench.
3. Remove the screw, indicated by the arrow in Figure
11.8, that anchors the cable guide to the discharge
chute using a 3/8” wrench.
4. Slide the Chute Deflector off of the snow thrower.
5. Mark one of the cables and its location in the Cable
Bracket and Cable Guide. See Figure 11.9.
6. Slide the Cable Guide out as far as it will go.
7. Disconnect both cables from the Cable Bracket.
NOTE: The Cable Bracket can not be removed from
or install on the Chute Deflector with the
cables attached.
