3. Lift the air filter cover off the engine.
4. Remove the air filter assembly.
5. Install the air filter by following the previous steps in
reverse order.
NOTE: The air filter housing is part of the blower
cover. The intake manifold extends through
a hole in the bottom of the air filter housing.
When installing the air filter, the hole in the
bottom of the paper element must fit over the
intake manifold.
See Figure 3.4.
NOTE: A light coating of oil can be applied to the
hole in the air filter. This will allow the filter to
slide over the manifold without distorting.
