Maintenance No.3 (M-3) after
each 1000 hours of operation
Perform all actions of the previous M plus
the followings:
Action 38. Torque of tightening of the
engine head bolts
NOTE! This operation shall be only per-
formed on the warmed up engine.
Remove the rocker cover, cylinder head
cover and rocker axle assembly.
Using a torque spanner, check and tight-
en the cylinder head bolts in the order
shown in the figure on the right. Bolt
tightening torque shall be within
160...180 N•m (16...18 kgf•m).
Action 39. Engine fuel coarse filter
Wash fuel coarse filter as follows:
• Shut the fuel tank valve.
• Unscrew the fastening bolts (1) of the
barrel (3) and remove the barrel.
• Unscrew the deflector with the mesh
(2) and remove the diffuser.
• Wash the deflector with the mesh, the
diffuser and filter barrel in diesel fuel.
• Assemble the filter parts in the re-
verse order.
• Fill the system with fuel.
Bleed the system and remove air from
fuel system as shown below (action
40).
