2.6 Replaceability
S
ome modules of the MVK-MPNIO series are downward compatible. Single modules can be
replaced according to the hierarchy shown in the illustration below. This reduces inventory: A
module does not have to be replaced by a device of identical design, but can also be replaced
by other modules that offer at least the same functionality. The adaptive software architecture of
future products will also feature downward compatibility, thereby assuring spare parts supply.

replace other MVK-MPNIO 7/8“. This makes them
suitable as universal devices for service work.
The PP and 7/8" modules can also be exchanged.
This allows changing over to other connectors with-
out requiring reconfiguration.
These modules cannot be replaced
by others.
