Scanner Cloning Using Programming Tags
Thescannerhassomeprogrammingsequencesthatletyoucloneaunitifyoudidnot
getachancetoruntheFlashDrivePrepapplicationbeforegoingtothesite.This
requiresprogrammingtags.Followthesestepstoperformscannercloningwith
programmingtags:
1.
Bringaflashdrivebeforegoingtothesitetoworkonthescanner.
2.
Selectascannerfromthesite–theoneyouwanttoclone.
3.
PlugtheflashdriveintothescannerʹsUSBperipheralport.
4.
Useanyoneofthesethreesequencestosetuptheflashdrive:

Thissequenceclonesthefirmwareandparameters.

Thescannerthenresets.Letthescannercopytherequestedclonedataontothe
flashdrive.Ifthefirmwareissuccessfullycloned,thescannerspeaksʺLoad
programin3seconds...2...1...0ʺ.

Selectthetargetscanner.

Everytimeanoperationisperformed(Firmwareupload,Parameterdownload,
Memorydump,andsoforth),theapplicationcreatesalog(
.log)anddump(.dmp)
file.Thisoptionpermitstheusertoviewanddeletethesefiles.

SelecttheNCRRealScanFlashDrivePrepToolicon.The followingwindow 
displays.


Inserttheflashdrivetobeused.The applicationdetectstheflashdriveinstalled.
