Replacing Plastic Strips -
Pockets
4
Each of the pockets at the right-hand end of your transport has a small strip
of plastic that helps the documents feed into the pocket properly.
You must replace the plastic strip on a pocket:
• if the strip becomes nicked or broken
• after the pocket has accepted between one and two million documents
1 The picture below shows the two rubber fasteners that hold the plastic
strip in place. Pull these two fasteners off and set them aside nearby.
2 Remove the old plastic strip from the two posts and throw it away.
3 Take the new plastic strip. Pass one end of it from left to right through
the rear hole in the pocket.
4 Place the hole in the end of this strip over the post on the pocket wall.
Press the strip down so that the hole fits over the rectangular base of the
post, then hold the strip in place as shown below.
5 With your other hand, pick up either one of the rubber fasteners that you
set aside before. Push it down onto the post until the top of the post is
flush with the top of the fastener.
6 Insert the other end of the plastic strip through the front hole in the
pocket. Repeat steps 5 and 6 for this end of the strip, using the other
rubber fastener.
Note: To get this fastener all the way on, you must squeeze the top and bottom
so that they fit between the ridges on the pocket wall.
