Pocket Module

Aside from vacuuming the pockets as part of the start-of-day cleaning
procedure, the only other parts of the pocket module that you'll need to clean
are the drive rollers.
You don't have to clean these every day. Clean them after the transport has
put a million or two million items into the pocket (your supervisor will
calculate how often that is).
At the same time as you clean the rollers in a pocket, replace the plastic strip
(see “Replacing Plastic Strips -Pockets” on page 4-39).
Cleaning the Drive Rollers
3
To clean the pocket drive rollers, use a piece of cardboard as a cleaning card.
A piece of thin cardboard stock (can be made from the batch ticket packing
material), approximately 18 cm (7 inches) long and 10 cm (4 inches) wide.
.
1 Turn on the transport so that the track motors are running.
2 Insert the cardboard into the track at the back of the first pocket. Slide it
along until you can feel the drive rollers grip it.
3 Hold the cardboard against the motion of the rollers, so the scraping
action cleans any dirt from the rollers.
Repeat this procedure for each pocket on the transport.
