If the number of double-feeds or documents not fed increases, it may be time
to replace the wiper and feeder belt.
Replacing the Hopper Wiper
and Feeder Belt

This procedure should be done each time your transport has processed
2 000 000 documents. You'll need a replacement hopper wiper and a
replacement feeder belt.
Note: Always change the hopper wiper and the feeder belt together. Here is
how to do this:
First, Remove Documents

Do this to get documents out of your way.
1 Slide the weight to the back of the hopper. Then pull the top of the weight
toward you and the bottom away from you until the weight latches into
place.
2 Remove any documents from the hopper (keep them in order).
Remove the Hand-Drop Cover

3 Grasp the gray transparent part of the hand-drop cover (see picture), then
pull straight up to remove the cover from the transport. Set this cover
aside.
