4 Remove the feeder belt from the small pulley. To do this, pull up gently
on the belt, turning the pulley if necessary to free the belt.
5 Remove the belt from the large pulley on the left, working as described
in step 4 (this is easier to do if you hold the wiper lever back). Throw
this belt away.
6 Replace the feeder belt as follows:
• Loop one end of the new belt over the large pulley, then push the
belt down around the pulley until the belt is properly seated between
the top and bottom rims. (Turning the pulley as you work may help
you get the belt seated properly.)
• Install the other end of the belt on the small pulley. Turn the pulleys
by hand to be sure the belt moves smoothly.
7 With one hand, pick up the new wiper by its handle.
8 With the other hand, push back on the wiper lever and hold it open.
9 Insert the bottom of the wiper into the hole in the wiper lever. Push the
wiper all the way down.
10 Let go of the wiper lever. The new wiper is now in place.
11 Replace the cabinetry (be sure to push it all the way down).
12 If you removed any documents from the hopper, put them back in the
proper order.
13 Close the receipt cover.
14 Press the Paper Feed button on the operator panel to advance the paper.
Note: The cover must be closed. To ensure print quality and the proper
alignment of the paper, advance about 30 cm (12 inches) of paper.
