Leaving a Message
Description
An extension user or outside caller can leave a voice message in a coworker's mailbox if that
extension is busy, unanswered, or in Do Not Disturb. Leaving a voice message is a handy and
efficient way to communicate with coworkers that avoids post-it notes, message pads, and
unnecessary email.
Additional Options While Leaving a Message
The following chart shows the additional dialing options a caller may have while listening to the
mailbox greeting prior to leaving a message. What happens depends on the setting of the Next Call
Routing and Dialing Option options.
