NOTE! Standards relang to the connecon and use of lters in hazardous areas are to
be taken into consideraon, especially naonal standards for installaon. Only trained
personnel familiar with these standards is allowed to handle this type of lter.
NOTE! The designer of the system as a whole, has to guarantee the correct funcon of
all interacng products or components and ensure that the complete system meets all
necessary safety requirements.
NOTE! Make a layout for the enre system before installing the unit.
NOTE! Fill in the installaon protocol during installaon, see Appendix A: Installaon
protocol’.
5.1 Delivery check
Check the unit for any transport damage. In case of damage or missing parts, nofy the
carrier and your local Nederman representave immediately.
5.2 Installaon requirements
Prepare the locaon where FlexPAK 800/1000 is to be placed before installaon. Consider
the following when installing the unit:
• The unit is to be anchored to a hard, level and rm foundaon. There are four
fastening brackets on the boom frame to be used to fasten the unit to the raised
foundaon.
• The total weight of the unit with accessories.
• Maximum weight of the collected material.
• Do not install the unit close to heat sources or hot surfaces.
• Beware of hot air from the outlet.
• Ensure that handling is convenient.
• Ensure that emptying collected dust is convenient.
• Ensure that service and maintenance are convenient.
• In case of high relave humidity, do not expose the unit to freezing temperatures.
• Do not place the unit in direct sunlight.
5.3 Duct dimensions and installaon
Figure 9 shows the unit installaon in a typical vacuum duct system.
5.3.1 Requirements
Place a sign with the intended use of the vacuum system on every user interface
(workstaon). Inform all personnel of the intended use of the system. Ensure that
personnel using the equipment do not collect items that may cause ignion or blocking.
