Function Description:

The Decorative Open Frame is designed for decorative purposes, likely as a display or a canopy structure. It is not intended for play, climbing, or hanging, as such actions could cause damage to the frame and serious injury. The frame is supplied with a lace cover, which is threaded onto the poles during assembly. The cover is flammability tested according to EN71 Part 2 +2020, with a slow burn rate to allow for quick exit in case of fire.

Usage Features:

Assembly: The manual provides detailed, step-by-step instructions for assembling the frame.
1. Check Contents: Verify all parts are present and undamaged. Report any missing or damaged parts immediately.
2. Clear Space: Assemble in a clean, large space, preferably on a sheet to keep the frame clean.
3. Position Legs: Place the four legs as pictured, noting the position of the large pole holes at each corner, which is crucial for correct pole attachment.
4. Fit Top Bar: Insert a long bolt with a washer through the top right-hand hole of both frames and into the end of a pole. Secure with the Allen key (do not overtighten). Repeat on the left side.
5. Stand Upright: Carefully pick up the entire frame and stand it upright. Gently shuffle to open the legs, ensuring the leg with the large pole hole is furthest away for the back pole insertion.
6. Fit Side Cross Braces: Attach the side cross braces to the outside of the frame. Insert a short bolt with a washer through one end of the cross brace and the small hole in the front leg. Add another washer, then a dome nut, and finger tighten. Use the spanner to hold the dome nut and tighten the bolt with the Allen key. Repeat for the other end of the cross brace.
7. Fit Other Cross Brace: Attach the second cross brace to the other side of the frame.
8. Thread Lace Cover: Hang the lace cover over the top pole with the sewn hem at the back, ensuring the correct side of the fabric faces outwards.
9. Attach Second Pole: Thread the second pole through the sewn hem at the bottom of the lace cover at the rear.
10. Fix Second Pole: Insert a short bolt with a washer through the hole at the bottom of the leg and into the end of the pole until it is fixed in position. Repeat on the opposite end.
11. Spread Cover & Tighten: Spread the cover equally along the pole and dress the frame as desired. Finally, tighten all bolts around the frame, but do not overtighten.
Safety Warnings:
- Not a Toy: The frame is for decorative purposes only. Do not allow children or adults to climb or hang on it.
- Risk of Fire: The cover is flammability tested, but keep the frame away from naked flames (candles, open fires, BBQs), heat sources, or electrical fittings (mains-operated fairy lights, other electrical equipment). Do not use mains-operated electronic equipment inside the frame without a risk assessment. Do not drape other fabrics or decorations on the frame, as this could accelerate fire spread.
- Risk of Suffocation: Dispose of plastic bags and packaging, keeping them out of reach of children.
- Choke Hazard: When unassembled, small parts can cause choking. Keep them away from children and store them safely.

Maintenance Features:

Wood Care:
- Wood is a living material and can be affected by temperature and humidity.
- Hairline Cracks: Fine hairline cracks may appear over time. These can be filled with wood filler, dried, and sanded with 120 grit sandpaper.
- Bowing: Minor bowing along the grain is normal and does not make the frame unsafe. For severe bowing, contact the manufacturer for a replacement part.
- Storage: Do not store near heat sources (e.g., radiators) to prevent warping. Avoid damp environments (e.g., garages, outhouses) to prevent warping or mold. Store in a dry place without excessive cold or heat.
- Splinters: If splinters occur, gently sand the affected area with 120 grit sandpaper.
- Aging: Wood may darken with age, which is natural.
- Marks: Wipe marks with a warm, damp cloth and allow to dry. Stubborn marks can be sanded away with 120 grit sandpaper.
Cover Care:
- Washing: Wash covers in a washing machine at 30 degrees using non-biological detergent to avoid allergies. An antibacterial agent can be added to kill bacteria or viruses.
- Drying: Dry covers naturally; do not tumble dry as this can cause shrinkage.
- Steam Cleaning: Do not use a steam cleaner on covers fitted to the frame, as this may cause the frame to warp.
